Included in the mini pig training bundle is a clicker is an inexpensive training tool that produces a distinct “click” sound. The purpose of clicker training is to mark a behavior to better communicate what you are asking your pig to do. The click is useful in marking the desired behavior. By marking the behavior, you communicate to the pig the exact moment they performed the correct behavior. Find a quiet area to start your training session. When you are ready to start training, decide on a very simple behavior you want to target. You can start with your mini pig coming to his name called, sit, spin, touching your hand, or touching your foot. If your mini pig already knows a command, that’s a perfect place to start!
