FREE Harness & Leash Training for Mini Pigs

Harness and leash training your mini pig is an essential part of ownership.  You can find the steps for teaching this online as a free resource brought to you by Pig Gear & AMPA.

Why we think harness and leash training is important?

• You must be able to get your pig to the vet for routine visits and emergency appointments.
• You need to be able to move your mini pig in cases of emergencies like fire, flooding, or other natural disasters.
• It is safer for your mini pig to be on a harness and leash than roaming free.  Add your mini pig’s tags with emergency contact to the harness for easy id if needed.
• It’s a great way to bond and spend time with your pig.
• It is an excellent form of exercise with your pig. You can both gain the benefits of those extra steps in your day.
• Be an educational ambassador by walking your mini pig in public and attending events.
• Long term your pig will have many health benefits.

This course features videos from multiple mini pig owners with multiple pigs of different ages, sizes, personalities showing methods for putting  harnesses on.  Some of the information will be repetitive.  Very slight differences in technique can work miracles for your pig.
